Sitio Maupot Resort: Bali-inspired Place

Want to go to Bali but cannot because it is so far away or you have no budget? The closest place you can go is the Sitio Maupot Family Resort in Magpet, North Cotabato. It is a few minutes away from Kidapawan City. From their rooms, pools and decorations, they are all Bali-inspired.

Although the room rates were a little bit pricey, the rooms were big and we were comfortable. They served a delicious breakfast buffet the following day. Their highlight and greatest attraction were their swimming pools and Jacuzzi that can make you feel relaxed. The view was really perfect if you just want to de-stress yourself and be with nature.

The place was so much more relaxing during nighttime and the lights of the pool made the water so enticing. Yes, there were still lots of people in the pool even at night.

Malagos Garden Resort: New and Improved

I have been to Malagos Garden Resort a few times already because of my daughter’s field trips during preschool years. I admit, the place was just “okay” with me though I had fun during the bird show. Now several years have passed and  since there were comments and feedback from friends that it is now improved, we decided to go there again and stay for a night. To my surprise, they have improved a lot and the place is really very nice!

One of the attractions that really caught me was their giant sweets. I loved it. I felt like a young child again who would munch on too many lollipops, cupcakes, donuts and pretzels without worrying anything.

Actually, Malagos Garden Resort is known for their world-class chocolates. There, you can make your own chocolate in their Chocolate Museum for a minimum fee. Of course, we tried and mold our own chocolates to the shapes we wanted and mixed it with other ingredients that we believed would make our chocolates more tasty. So fun!

One of the attractions there was the Butterfly Sanctuary. Although the butterflies during that time were not that many, we have seen some in different colors and sizes. We just love these insects and are amazed on how they transform from one form to another through metamorphosis. Yes, I love Science!

We also did bird feeding. It was such a nice feeling to feed them with lots of food. It was also nice to be surrounded by these beautiful creatures.

Overall, Malagos Garden Resort is now really improved and I recommend this place especially those with kids. They can learn a lot, and move a lot too because they also have an area for fitness and recreation. The grown-ups also can enjoy and relax with the calm and fresh environment.
