Skinny Detox for the New Year

It is already 2018 and I need to do something new with my life. I decided to have some new routines and hobbies. I also reflected and assessed what I have done last year and the only thing I can think of that I want to somehow change is my eating habits.

So to start with a clean life and clean living, I decided to clean my body first by doing detoxification. I searched for a detox tea in the internet and I found Skinny Detox Tea, which claimed to be effective in losing weight and cleansing the body even if you eat anything. It also claimed that Michelle Gumabao, famous athlete/celebrity has used it and liked its effectiveness.

Body detox is effective but there are really painful consequences during the process. For Skinny Detox tea, it is recommended to take the tea twice a day (30 minutes before lunch and before going to bed) but I just use it every night because I often forget to prepare it 30 minutes before taking my lunch. The tea tastes great too, so no problem with me because I am really a tea lover. Even if you do not like tea, the taste is really okay.

For the first week, I felt minor stomachaches especially in the morning. Good thing we have a private toilet in the office so every time I need to let the toxins out, I just go there and do my thing. I guess this is very inconvenient for people who do not have private toilets in their offices. The smell and the number of times you go to the toilet is a problem so it should be a private one. Be sure to be ready with your toilet paper and air freshener.

After the dreaded first week, I think my body has adjusted although there were still stomachaches but not that much. The frequency of going to the toilet is reduced, depending on the oiliness and the amount of food you have eaten the night before.

Overall, I felt a little lighter and not bloated. I hope to continue this after the 56 pieces I bought so that I will be totally clean.

I live my life trying and exploring things everyday. I want to experience things because through experience, I can learn a lot, especially the trends in diet and healthy lifestyle.

Few months ago, I am into a calorie-counted diet and I love it. It made me slimmer and many people really saw the change. I shared this secret to my friends and some of them liked it. Others did not like it because they don’t like tofu or the food is not enough to fight their hunger. They are not that ready to eat less. But that’s okay.

Then just one day, I found out from a friend that there is someone in Tagum City that prepares food for those who prefer to eat with no meat. Her name is Chaka and she is vegan for years. Not just that, she is also a pole dance and a yoga instructor.

I got interested with her food and I signed up. I think it’s more than a month now that I am availing her healthy no meat food for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Mondays to Fridays. Here are some of her food.

I want to eat less meat and more veggies, or meat substitutes. I want to continue this kind of lifestyle, so now I want to know how to cook meatless dishes. I think I want to learn and practice healthy living seriously.

On Healthy Diet: Calorie Counted Meals

I have been into many weight loss attempts like having protein shake as a meal substitute or doing back-to-back yoga and zumba exercises with a little running when there is ample time. Although there is really some pounds off my weight, but I feel like I need a healthy yet effective weight loss regimen to suit my busy schedule. I am quiet busy with so many things that I do not have time to do exercise.

Then a friend told me to try the calorie counted meals by I am Sexy Chef. They offer lunch and dinner delivered at your doorstep from Mondays to Fridays. Lunch and dinner has a total of 700-750 calories.

I was hesitant at first. The food is not as tasty as what I usually eat. The sight of tofu makes me want to quit. But when I finished a week of these low calorie meals, I felt great and I continued. I am now on my 2nd month of eating these healthy meals. I now enjoy vegetables, oats, gluten-free pasta, quinoa grains, brown rice, wheat bread andโ€ฆtofu!

Since I want to lose weight because I am getting old, my daily activities donโ€™t require much movement and I just want to be healthy, having these calorie counted meals made me more disciplined in terms of food choices. I stopped eating pork since November of 2015 and today, I avoid sweets, too starchy food, coffee, cola and fast foods. Although my other reason for avoiding these food is that I cannot afford to buy them anymore, because I am spending 1,300 pesos a week for these lunch and dinner.

Of course, there was a tremendous change in almost 2 months. I lost 4 kilos. It may seem small, but people really noticed the change in me. I am happy with the results because I am losing weight yet eating healthy.
